HOW TO FIND US – ROAD ROUTE TO CAIRNHILL

FOR THE JOURNEY OF A LIFE TIME.

The place where you turn off the main state highway is located approximatley half way between Nelson and Blenheim about one kilometer West of the Rai Valley Village. Towards Nelson.

Once you leave the State Highway at RAI VALLEY and turn into the road to FRENCH PASS…

TAKE YOUR TIME…

Follow the road towards FRENCH PASS.

It is a scenic route. A slowish winding drive.

The road is safe, but slowish and one of New Zealands best kept secrets to some of our countries most stunning and awe inspiring views.
The trip from this point will take about 60 minutes depending on how often you may stop to capture the amazing views.

When you come to the end of the sealed part of the road and onto the gravel road you are about 10 minutes from CAIRNHILL.

Once on the gravel surface road, continue until you cross over 2 cattle stop barriers.

Turn RIGHT about 100 metres after crossing the SECOND cattle stop barrier.

IT IS SIGN POSTED … TE TOWAKA ROAD. (turn right)

A Red NZ Post Box in on the roadside CLOSE TO THE SIGN.

About 2 kls down this road (TE TOWAKA ROAD) CAIRNHILL has a white post and wire farm fence just as you come through the Pine Forest. The fence is on your right hand side. Just 100 metres now to our letter box and gate. The Pine Forest continues on your left.

A sign … CAIRNHILL… is on the fence by the entrance gate.

If you come to the CISSY BAY ROAD intersection turnoff…  STOP… TURN BACK… You have gone past our gate.
